Arkansas Puts Restrictions on Smoking Medical Marijuana

Arkansas MMJ

Arkansas lawmakers have put restrictions on where medical marijuana can be smoked. Patients will not be permitted to smoke marijuana around anyone that is age 14 or younger.  Efforts to completely ban the smoking of medical marijuana recently failed in the legislative process.

The same smoking rules apply to medical marijuana as tobacco products, according to Stuttgart Daily Leader. No one under the age of 21 is permitted to smoke marijuana. Smoking medical marijuana in the presence of pregnant women is also banned.

No smoking of medical marijuana is permitted in cars, boats, motorized watercraft or planes.

Additional restrictions may be put in place as the state works to complete its rules for the program.
