Arkansas Supreme Court to Hear Arguments in Medical Marijuana Lawsuit

Ganja

The Arkansas Supreme Court will hear arguments regarding the injunction to stop the state’s Medical Marijuana Commission from issuing licenses to five cultivation companies. The hearing will begin on June 7. Naturalis Health filed the lawsuit regarding a low score received on their application.

Circuit Judge Wendell Griffen deemed the scores of the top five applications “null and void,” according to the Arkansas Times. The reason behind the ruling stated “conflicts of interest with the commissioners.” The commission is to start from scratch and evaluate the applications again.

All application screenings have halted in the state, including dispensary applications.
