Boston Firm Hired to Score Arkansas’ Dispensary Applications

Cannabis States

Boston-based Public Consulting Group, Inc. has been chosen to evaluate dispensary applications in Arkansas. The state accepted 30 proposals and the interested companies could not have any conflicts of interest in the state’s marijuana industry. The state only received two responses.

The firm will receive applications and have 30-days to return them, Arkansas Money & Politics reports. Their bid for the project was $99,500. Due to conflict regarding the scoring of cultivation licenses, the state opted to hire an outside firm.

Controversy sparked when the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission claimed bias and errors during the state’s scoring of applications.
