Arkansas medical marijuana dispensaries haven’t been open for a full year yet, but they’ve already sold more than 6,000 pounds of medicine to patients. Of the 33 licensed dispensaries, 22 have received approval to open.

Comprehensive Care Group will be opening in West Memphis, Arkansas Business reported. Body and Mind will also be opening soon on North Oak Street. Green Springs Medical of Hot Springs reports having exceeded 2,000 pounds of medical marijuana sold.

Spokesman for the state, Scott Hardin, said, “Overall [medical cannabis] sales reached a significant milestone this week. Late on April 16, total medical marijuana sales surpassed 10,000 pounds. Overall, Arkansans have spent $63.37 million to obtain 10,050 pounds of medical marijuana since the first dispensary opened in May 2019.”

Opening dates for the 2 newest dispensaries have not yet been made available.
